Arrow Equipped With A Bullet

I never really got into bow hunting.  Rifles seem to work just fine for zombies and animals, and I just don't see myself going all "Daryl" with a crossbow either.  The Rac Em Bac company has recently created the ultimate arrow in zombie hunting stopping capability; it is tipped with a .357 or .38 special.  Check out the vid below:

Although this looks a little strange, it seems to pack quite a punch.  At $40 for a six pack this is a little pricey, but would be pretty good for wild boar or other "nuisance" animals.

Walking Dead Season 3 Special Effects

I've been a fan of The Walking Dead since season one.  At times the show can be a little over the top, but it is still entertaining.  I know a lot of special effects work went into all those gorey zombie kill shots, but wow... The vid below was made by the special effects company that works on the show, and gives us a little peak into how the magic happens.  There are some spoilers if you haven't seen season 3, but honestly the vid moves really fast.  Enjoy!

Defense Against Zombies, Werewolves, and Vampires

You need to jump off the zombie train... I'm tired of everything zombie from scopes to specialized ammo.  A company called Coonan has developed a super gimmicky device that claims to work against vampires, zombies, and werewolves.  The "weapon" is essentially a wooden stake that holds eight silver .357 rounds.  The stake seems a little short to take on a vamp, and a complete waste of perfectly good silver rounds to bring down a zombie.  At $40 per stake, I'd say it is a little bit overpriced, and CA residents have to send a copy of their driver's license.

Glock Fail

I'm a hard core 1911 fan, but I know some of my readers like the Glock.  It really comes down to preference (like your brand of car), and it usually makes for a great debate around a camp fire.  I've always admired the Glock for the space age polymer frame, and all those crazy torture tests that were conducted on the Glock.  According to the vid, some of those tests might be BS.

As a quick side note to the d-bags who created the vid.  If you let folks embed your crappy long video, far more people will actually watch you conduct unsafe firearms tests.  Sorry kids, but you can only watch the unsafe vid directly at youtube.

The vid is pretty long, but the gist of it comes down to the lack of performance after being dumped in water.  I don't think casually flipping your Glock into a fermenting puddle is a safe or good idea.  Hell, a 5 gallon bucket would have done the job just fine for soaking purposes.  When the derp sits in the turd-cuzzi, he seems to be directly firing at his feet.  I have no idea how much force the bullet loses under water, but I would imagine it could still do some damage at such close range.

I guess it was interesting that the Glock didn't fire all that well after taking a swim, but I don't really think you'll take your Glock underwater zombie hunting.  I found a different derp who conducted a similar test in his swimming pool with a 1911 in the vid below.  You can fast forward through him swearing and acting a fool to about one minute in to see the underwater firing.  Impressive?  Nah, I'm still not convinced I'll ever have a need to take consecutive shots underwater at zombies....

Walking Dead Video Game Looks Bad

Not every semi-popular media franchise needs a video game.  The Walking Dead video game looks like a really crappy version of Left 4 Dead without the guns and great gameplay.  The weird animated style mixed with the terrible voice acting makes this game look like an epic fail.  Check out the trailer.
